Victoria, Texas— Mercer Emergency Center, a freestanding ER located at 6902 Zac Lentz Parkway, invites the public to join them to help recognize area volunteers that came to our communities aid before, during and after Hurricane Harvey. Mercer asks that you visit their Facebook page to nominate a local volunteer that made a difference. Those that are nominated will have their story of courage and giving spirit shared on Mercer’s Facebook page and one lucky nominee will receive a $200 VISA gift card to donate to charity or local family in need to pass along the giving spirit.

“We applaud the work of local volunteers and are excited to reward them on this social event. When you think of Hurricane Harvey, you think of families and charities in need – of supplies, of manpower and we want help highlight those that stepped up to help and give them funds to reward an area charity or family of their choice with $200, “said Dr. Jimmy Grossman, President of Mercer Emergency Center.

The public can submit nominations for Harvey Heroes Oct 2 – 11. One winner will be pulled from all nominees on Oct. 12 to receive a $200 Visa gift card.

“ We hope we can serve as a platform for sharing the unsung heroes during the storm and give them a way to continue to help others through a $200 VISA gift card that they can present to a local charity of family of their choice,” said Dr. Grossman, President of Mercer Emergency Center.
